Natty Dread

Well there can be little doubt as to who has won the award for the biggest turnout of the weekend at the Myspace / Gibson tent; Skindred absolutely ram it, so much so that I can't even get in and have to listen outside with the other three or four hundred unlucky ones. Despite the disappointment at not getting inside the tent, it is great to see one of the most underrated bands in the UK get this level of support.

They start with 'Babylon' and proceed to go through most of the highlights of their only album including 'Bruises', 'Set it Off', 'Pressure', 'Nobody Gets Out Alive' and 'World Domination'. Singer Benji spends half of the gig talking to the crowd, sure it's a bit clichéd and cheesy in places but it's also very entertaining, you can't help but like the guy and he more than gets away with it.

I can't tell you what they looked like or whether they put on a good visual performance but the waves of nodding heads outside the tent confirm my suspicions that they sounded fucking great!
