Throwdown, Pantera and More
As Roadrunner-signed hardcore metallers Throwdown walk on stage they appear before an already full Snickers Stage crowd chanting the band's name. Not a second is wasted as fans crawl up the stage's support posts and a pit opens up before even one chord has been played.
Within a few minutes Throwdown pay a somewhat belated tribute to Dimebag and dedicate a Pantera cover to the now deceased metaller. As drum beat after beat thump through the air, hundreds of metal-heads ignore the near-30 degree heat as pit after pit open up and everyone hurls themselves around the tent as if every moment were their last.
As the set draws to a close vocalist Dave Peters screams out as the crowd echo his vocals, with the entire crowd cheering for Throwdown as their last song ends.
Throwdown are not a band that help to ease away your early morning hangover, but when only thrashing loud and powerful hardcore will do then look no further than Throwdown.
