Great Songs
As one of the support acts at the recent Tiger Army gig at Islington's Carling Academy, you would think any band would find it tough to go on stage before a huge band. Deadline seemed to make it look effortless. They did an excellent job at getting the crowd warmed up. One thing that was great was to see a female rock artist on stage, singing rock, and demanding respect...and she got it. The fact that they were local singers, playing at a local venue made it that much more special for both the band and the audience.
The music was great, voices great and the stage presence was more than adequate. The music was loud enough to gear the audience up for a night of ROCK! To make sure everyone was able to understand the purpose behind each song, an explanation was given of the inspiration behind the track; one for example was written about local kids that annoy the singer. It may have sounded a little more pop/rock than punk hard rock, but the show was amazing, and the fans loved it. Hopefully, they will have their own tour dates coming soon, and will be able to rock the stage much harder, and for much longer.
