Disco Ensemble

For quite a few people here at the Barfly tonight it seems that Disco Ensemble might just be the main event. The Finnish four piece deliver a half hour set that's packed with catchy post-hardcore riffs; nice and heavy on the ear, yet danceable and full of sing along choruses. They're a really good choice of warm up to get everyone in the mood for Hell Is For Heroes, but this is a band that definitely aren't going to let the headliners hog all the lime light. They kick things into gear straight away with an excited, punchy set and with the help of the enthusiastic audience shouting them on they keep the momentum going right until the end.

The Ensemble seem surprised to receive such a positive reaction from the Cardiff crowd, but they never get overwhelmed. They keep their heads above water and enjoy the moment, carrying everyone else along with them by turning out a quality set that's full of energy; and with tunes like the super catchy 'We Might Fall Apart', they inspire plenty of interaction with their fans, and pick up a few more along the way.
