Shibby - Live on stage at the Islington Carling Academy
This three-piece energetic punk rock band has done wonders over the last year or so. They have begun to make a name for themselves as a band that will be able to rock it with the best of them. With bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars, Lostprophets, Fall Out Boy and Blink 182 having a large influence on their music, this can defiantly be heard within the tunes the guys were playing at this gig.
Even so, there are elements present in their stage appearance and performance that makes Shibby stand out from all the other bands out there making it by imitating their influences. At this gig in Islington's Carling Academy, Shibby was able to prove they have amazing musical ability by playing great tunes, even if some of them were covers. But that didn't matter. It just made the audience go wild with excitement as they had talented musicians playing songs they loved, and playing them well.
Some of the songs the band was playing were originals. The people in the audience must have been viewing their myspace (address below) as they were singing along to original tracks written by the band. By being able to write, as well as sing and play rock anthems with loud guitars, pounding drums, and great lyrics – that needs talent and a lot of it. By the energy Shibby was giving out at this gig, they are a band that has the ability to rock the world in the coming year. Their songs will find their way into your mind, and stay there. Remember, you heard them here first.
