The Circuits
Lets set the scene. It's a Tuesday night; location Hoxton Bar and Kitchen; time 10pm; reason for being here, The Circuits. Brought together in the summer of 2006, the fellas have one dream in common, and the determination and capability to make that dream come true...creating the finest music they can.
The Circuits have that Brit look and sound that will get them noticed with the likes of the Kooks, Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs. Their sound has a pop feel while being rock based with killer harmonies that sick deep into their sound, and will infiltrate your mind. What you have here is a band that is going to be huge. With pounding drums from Nick, Simon's ominous bass lines and Nicky's intense and catchy guitar riffs fit nicely together, and complete with the passion and enthusiasm you see from Gerard Way coming from front man Benny, who has unique vocals that will sweep though you until you are stunned.
With songs about love and loss in relationships and lyrics like 'there are two simple rules in life to obey/And number one is that you don't reveal both/I wont reveal my tricks because loose lips sink ships' from Pistols at Dawn and 'I can't seem to fit this picture/None of the words go in a straight line/I met this girl who said I needed her/And now I can't get her off my mind' from Young enough not to care, this is just the beginning of the talent that fall off these guys as they perform.
The lads are working on their debut album, which if this gig was anything to go by, will be a massive hit.
