Sunshine on Leith? Pissing it down here

Sunday was a wet one, but the Proclaimers still drew a healthy sized crowd, and turned in a set worthy of the numbers.

Opening with 'Letter From America', the band used their two most famous hits to start and finish the set. It's possible some may have got bored waiting around for their signature tune, and had it been sunny and the sort of conditions that allowed for lying on the ground the time would have passed quicker for those people. However there were plenty who were familiar with much of the set, as classics like 'I'm On My Way' and the slower 'Sunshine On Leith' were stand out moments.

The upbeat 'Whole Wide World' led into the moment many had come for, the massive sing-along of 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'.

The Proclaimers played one of V's smaller tents last year, and seemed to be loving being on the festival's main stage this time round. When two song's dominate a band's back catalogue it would be easy to ignore the rest, but there's enough quality in the Proclaimers armoury to make them far more than just a two-hit wonder act.
