Just another one of those rainy days
Day two at Weston Park Staffordshire got off to a soaking wet start, with Just Jack not pulling in quite as big a crowd as you might otherwise expect. Those that did turn up were clearly quite determined that the rain wasn't going to spoil their fun.
'Overtones' singles 'Writers Block' and 'Glory Days' were stand out moments, as was the eighties sounding album track 'Disco Friends'. The Just Jack style is best described as having aspects of The Streets and Calvin Harris and meeting somewhere in the middle.
No prizes for guessing what much of the crowd had braved the elements for, and as a consequence what came last in the set which lasted just over an hour. 'Stars in Their Eyes' would be a contender for Main Stage song of the day were there such an award.
Although Just Jack is entertaining, his songs aren't exactly ground breakingly stunning, and had the set stretched on much further filler may have crept in. That said this was a decent way to get the day underway.
