Go:Ing Places

It’s not even 1 PM on Saturday afternoon, but already there’s a healthy sized crowdin the Rock Sound Cave, showing us that Go:Audio are building a strong following.

From the moment they take to the stage it’s clear we’re watching a band on a different level in their development compared to much of the line up on the smaller stages at this time of day. Go:Audio arrive with the confidence of having played at Download, plus a support slot with Zebrahead, if anything you wonder why they’re on so early with a CV that shows they’re a band on the up.

Their sound is nothing remarkable, pop-rock with a hint of emo, sometimes leaning towards Fallout Boy, at other points more Jimmy Eat World, but is sure as hell hits the spot with their army of young girl fans.

Front man James Matthews, who was sporting a Cure T-shirt, appears to have spent sometime studying Panic At The Disco videos judging by the style of his stage actions. It’s well executed, the same can be said of their set.

With a full-length debut album, ‘Made Up Stories’ set for release at the end of August, this lot are heading in only one direction.
