Rebels with a cause

The Rebs appear on the Ents 24 stage courtesy of being the winners of this years ‘Gig at Guilfest’ competition, which also nets the m the opening slot on the free CD being bandied about, not bad going at all! Initially it looks like all their hard work may have been wasted as the heavens have opened and there is a very small crowd that have braved the elements when the band begin.

Singer Ross points out that they don’t care about the rain as it’s dry up on stage and the weather certainly doesn’t inhibit the performance. The music is up tempo indie and the whole band seem determined not to waste this opportunity to show what they cal go.

They addition of keyboards from Vicky works well and the more they pay the more likeable they become. The interaction with the crowd is light hearted and amusing and not surprisingly they go down well. Good band and a tight showing but I’m not sure they are doing anything different from a lot of other bands to make them stand out.
