Kerrang! Week Of Rock

It seems each and every time Attack! Attack! play a different London venue the hoards of adoring fans follow. Taking to the stage at the HMV Forum on the opening night of Kerrang’s Week of Rock, there was no doubt in the minds of the crowd that they were in for a real rock feast.

The music performed on this occasion may have been some of the best-performed music that these guys have given crowds so far. Lights pounding, band strutting their stuff and playing incredibly well and more importantly the fans loved every second. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how well you play, if the crowd is not up for a good time then the band loses interest too. For Attack! Attack! the fans were energetic, driven and desperate to see this South Wales four-piece perform like they had never performed before. They were really able to get crowd involved and bounce beyond any normal heights in the sweltering heat. You know you have done well for yourself when the fans begin to clap of their own accord and don’t need any encouragement. In comparison to the opening act, Attack! Attack! were able to heat up the room fairly sufficiently.

Performing a selection of songs from their album including ‘This Is A Test’, ‘Too Bad Son’, ‘Time Is Up’ and ‘You and Me,’ which is planned to be on the next Guitar Hero out in September, Attack! Attack! gave a well performed set; You Me At Six (headline band) guitarist Max showed his appreciation for the supporting band with accompanying vocals on ‘Lights Out’. By all means though, the best performance must have been of ‘Honesty’, a catchy song performed with…complete honesty. Where to next fellas?
