Go Audio play the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
It was surprising that a band such as Go Audio has managed to wrangle their way into the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, as is such a large venue. Having been able to fill the majority of the standing and first level areas (taking into consideration that one of the support bands had actually given 200 or so tickets away free of charge), the band did not appear to be bothered about the empty spaces high above the stage, focusing on giving the individuals that had shown up an energetic performance.
Go Audio has been away for a while writing new material. On this, the last night of their tour, these guys certainly went out with a bang. The quintet is known for their lively pop-punk style of music. They tend to incorporate an electronic edge through the use of synthesizers and programming tools, which were visible onstage. They performed a variety of tracks from their debut album ‘Made Up Stories’ including ‘Brake! Brake!’, ‘She Left Me’ and ‘Forget About It’ as well as a couple of new tracks that they have been working on such as ‘Lies’. But as well as these upbeat natured tunes, they can perform a damn good ballad. Their performances of ‘This isn’t Hollywood’ as well as other slower tunes were really subtle but had intensive endings.
Making sure they were not going to be forgotten any time soon, Go Audio gave a brisk and fully energised performance.
