Sucioperro mesmerises the HMV Forum
The HMV Forum had the pleasure of introducing Scottish band Sucioperro to many when they supported The Living End on tour recently, and they have an interesting way of performing.
Their set didn’t consist of something incredibly exciting or enthralling, but it was their actual lack of movement that was so interesting. Sucioperro didn’t resort to jumping and bounding from one end of the stage to the other repeatedly, yelling at the crowd or shouting the lyrics through the microphone. As these three lads stood or in the drummer’s case sat, they let the music speak for itself, allowing it to grab the attention of the crowd and keeping their eyes and ears focused on the stage at all times. The atmosphere created was supported by the bands performance of some incredibly vibrant and passionate songs such as ‘You Can’t Lose (What You Don’t Have)’.
After some comforting and quite captivating songs, lead singer JP Reid added in a few words of wisdom and words to live by to close the set - ‘Believe in yourself, take no shit from no one and make sure those you love know you love them’.
They obviously have a lot to give and we have just seen the beginning of great things to come from Sucioperro.
