Snow Patrol

The friendliest and most overwhelmed band of the festival, they charmed the audience without even trying. They pointed out it was the biggest audience they’ve played to yet and admitted it was pretty daunting, but without a single swearword, the sweet Irish group played very confidently. They clearly felt so privileged to be there and as a result the audience enjoyed them even more due to the extra effort that was clear in their performance. They certainly won me over.

The soft, mellow rock style, similar to Starsailor’s and Travis’, got a fantastic reaction from the audience. Although a less distinctive style, this may develop as they produce more music and become more recognised.

However, their only downfall was the fact that they didn’t sound distinctive enough to have that special something, like the Stereophonics and Travis have. The potential is more than apparent though.
