Every Avenue hit the HMV Forum a little too hard

Pop punk band Every Avenue recently spent a week travelling from Glasgow to London with Buckinghamshire quintet Young Guns on their headline tour. However, they rounded off their support slot at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town with an unexpected twist.

The set began all good and well as the Michigan born band belted out hits such as 'Whatever Happened to You' from their current release 'Bad Habits', as well as a few older numbers like 'A Story to Tell Your Friends' taken from their debut album 'Shh. Just Go With It.' Each and every performance was energetic, passionate, and of course loud, which really gave the crowd something more to grasp onto and admire about the band. However, a few tracks before the set concluded, things took a turn for the worst for guitarist Jimmie Deeghan. One minute he was standing and playing his heart out, really getting into the music, the next he was flat on his back on the stage, appearing to be in pain. As the song ended, he was helped to his feet with apparent broken foot, yet rather than calling the set to an early closure, he pushed through the pain, stood on one foot hoping back and forth, at times balancing on the stage equipment around him like speakers until the last song where he was aided off stage. Was this accident due to the wires and accessories of the stage, or the bottles of beer on the speakers behind him?

Although there were some difficulties with the set, they never let this affect their performance. Jimmie was a brave man to continue on, we wish him all the best with his recovery and hope to see Every Avenue back on UK shores soon.
