Double A pounce at the O2 Academy Islington

One reason for having support acts on tour is to get the crowd revved up and ready to go for the main band. When London based quartet Double A recently toured with the likes of Welsh rockers Attack! Attack! they did just that as they played the main stage at the O2 Academy Islington.

Although there were very little people in the venue at the start of the set, the lads never let this get them down. From the moment they took to the stage they were bounding and jumping around like bunnies, really giving it everything they had as they performed tracks such as 'Hustle and Shuffle' and 'Incest Isn't Wrong (Everybody Sing Along)'. They showed the crowd (and each other) plenty of love and received plenty of support and love back in return.

The band appear to pride themselves of getting the crowd involved in the set, encouraging them to join in wherever possible, clap or sing along. It was understandable that this was a little difficult considering they were the first band on stage for the evening and began playing to a room of around 30 individuals. However, as their set continued and came to a close the number of people in the venue had tripled, and the majority all had their attention drawn to the stage. As far as opening acts go, Double A had the crowd in the palm of their hands, performing like it was their own headline tour.
