Proxies Open The Night
Since breaking onto the live scene in early 2011, Yorkshire based electronic rock band Proxies has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some amazing musicians such as Kids in Glass Houses, Hadouken and Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy). They have been on tour with the likes of the brilliant Canterbury over the past three weeks, which concluded with a very well received gig at London's Kings College Students Union.
For a support band, Proxies were able to entertain the crowd extremely well, shredding the atmosphere with their sharp guitar playing; knock-out drumming and underlying electro beats. As they played their own unique combination of rock and electro-tinged noise, the songs were able to make quite an explosion. Ranging from upbeat to fast-tempo, they came in quick succession. Some of the more notable performances included a belting of If I Had a Penny to my Name, which usually features Sean Smith of The Blackout and a duet with a young talented female musician.
With melodies crashing and the crowd going nuts as they were singing along, Proxies were able to energetically open the evening of great things to come.
