Tremonti at Slash, Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators UK tour
Mark Tremonti is used to sharing the stage with Myles Kennedy as part of Alter Bridge, however he now finds himself sharing the stage in a different way by being the opening act on Slash's Apocalyptic Love tour.
It is fair to say there were a number of Alter Bridge fans in town on Friday night as Tremonti received a very warm welcome as they stepped out on stage. Tremonti is compiled of rhythm guitarist Eric Friedmen, drummer Garrick Whitlock and temporary bass player Wolfgang Van Halen, yes, Eddie's son.
Tremonti played their album All I Was in its entirety, and treated the crowd to hard hitting yet catchy rock music. Mark Tremonti looked extremely comfortable in his new role as frontman and had a great stage presence, while his voice is not as versatile as Kennedy's, he put on a solid performance and it really suited the music Tremonti create.
As a band Tremonti are extremely talented, their performances were all faultless. Their music is full of catchy riffs, crunching basslines and heavy drums. The band sounded incredibly tight and appeared to be well rehearsed despite Wolfgang being a last minute stand in.
Tremonti offer solid rock music and put on a solid performance to match; their music is far removed from what I've come to expect from Mark Tremonti due to his involvement in Alter Bridge and Creed. The highlight of their set was their new single You Waste Your Time.
Tremonti have proved themselves to be a fine rock band who are capable of creating intelligent rock music. They're definitely a band to watch over the coming months as Tremonti are bound to have big things in their future.
