The Howling at Buckcherry Winter Tour

London based five-piece The Howling wrap up their tour with Buckcherry with a hometown show.

The Howling were tasked with kicking of the night's entertainment, and by the time they hit the stage the Electric Ballroom was already pretty full and fans were buzzing with excitement.

The Howling play punk rock with an electric edge, style-wise they look like they've raided Noel Fielding's wardrobe and with him classing himself a fan and sometimes joining them on stage, I wouldn't be surprised if they had popped round to his Camden pad earlier in the day.

The band played an interesting mix of music which included a cover of the Sex Pistols classic God Save The Queen. However, that classic track mixed with their original material such as Rock n Roller and Champion gave the impression of a band who are yet to find their direction. All songs were well performed but they seemed to be all over the place and didn't quite fit together.

That said, The Howling were entertaining enough, most of the crowd seemed to enjoy watching them whizz around the stage, and there was plenty of crowd participation when they covered the Sex Pistols. It was a good effort from an opening act, but it will be a while before they're ready to headline the Electric Ballroom.
