Freeze the Atlantic play the Garage in Islington

Since their introduction to the music industry back in 2008, Freeze the Atlantic has self-produced their debut EP, finished their debut album but have however gone through several line-up changes, with the latest being the addition of a new vocalist who joined the band in late 2012.

Their recent touring schedule consisted of joining Attack! Attack! on their last ever tour of the UK, stopping off to play the last London date at Islington's Garage. As the second band on for the evening, Freeze the Atlantic was a little less energetic as one may have hopped. This may have been due to the less poppy nature of the music, as the band tends to have a tougher style of music compared to that of the opening act. One guitarist looked a little like a car dashboard bobble doll, standing in the same spot but bopping about back and forth. Due to this, the crowd therefore were less enthusiastic at times, but just as intrigued by what they were hearing.

Songs that stood out for the evening include This Fight and the single Volcanoes. It appeared to be an evening of drum mishaps for the first two bands that were playing this evening. In the case of Freeze The Atlantic, a knob popped off one part of the drum set causing a cymbal to crash to the ground at several points. However, this never caused the band any difficulties and the set continued on without a hitch, to be enjoyed by the crowd.
