The Unholy Hand
If you've ever listened to The Bronx before you can fully expect what one of their live shows are like. The Lock-Up Tent was absolutely rammed for this mid-afternoon set and as the band walked on stage they were met with an absolutely thunderous roar. The pit had opened before the first note had even been struck, so as The Unholy Hand hit it was total f**king chaos.
The set contained a lot of tunes from the most recent record, all of which were met with just as good a response as the older material. Vocalist Matt Caughthran's presence on stage is just absolutely brilliant, you can tell he is having the time of his life with the whole crowd in the palm of his hands. Perfect example of this was his taking over of "senior steward" duties and encouraging a crowd-surfing zone in what culminated into 4 minutes of complete bedlam.
It's staggering to think this band are only eleven years old, their status in heavy music and within their scene has already become legendary. Live shows like this one today at Reading have gone a long way to establishing this, just so much fun.
