Max Raptor - Mother's Ruin Album Launch

Max Raptor have had a busy year touring, gigging, writing and recording, finally, I had the chance to check them out at The Black Heart as they promote their new album; Mother's Ruin.

The four-piece outfit wasted no time in getting the show started as from the moment they hit the stage they were relentlessly noisy and active. Frontman Wil Ray's performance was aggressive and raw, his voice, attitude and actions were the perfect fit for the music the band produces.

Max Raptor always seem to be on tour, and I have no idea how I have missed them until this point, but what is evident when watching them live is that they have truly honed their art. Taming Of The Shrewd a track from their upcoming album Mother's Ruin perfectly shows off their talent; it is home to a strong driving bassline and killer guitar riffs. England Breathes is bound to become a fan favourite at their live shows; it is loud and powerful – an anthem in the making.

The passion Max Raptor have was literally pouring off of the stage during their live performance; the whole band was sweaty and wide-eyed almost as if they couldn't put enough energy into their show, leaving them with a powerful stage presence.

After seeing Max Raptor live, I have no doubt that they are destined for bigger and better things, they left a lasting impression and are definitely worth checking out the next time they're in a town near you.
