Dead Sea Skulls
The O2 Academy in Birmingham is significantly smaller than it's eldest brother who in the past few weeks has played host to big bands like Bring Me the Horizon and Papa Roach, but now it's the younger bar's time to shine. Tonight is a great night for rock fans as We Are Fiction, Attention Thieves and Max Raptor are all in the building.
The crowd is extremely slim as the first band take to the stage, locally grown Dead Sea Skulls who clearly haven't got the memo that Movember is over. They consist of a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer who stands centre stage playing and singing. It's always nice to see some originality in bands. While I'm sure a lot of the audience could have been family and friends it didn't deter this small band from putting on an awesome show to warm the crowd up. The lead singer had to practically beg for people to come forward but maybe it was just too early in the night.
