The Wildhearts UK Tour 2014
Ginger Wildheart continues to prove he is the busiest man on the UK music scene by rounding up a tour with The Wildhearts in spectacular fashion.
The Wildhearts took to the stage for the last time on their UK tour to the sound of thunderous applause from their die-hard fans that have supported the band throughout its 20 year lifespan.
The Wildhearts 90 minute set list was comprised of tracks from all their major releases, and there was no telling the band had been on a five year hiatus or that the original line-up had recently regrouped because they sounded incredibly tight, and were extremely energetic; clearly loving every second they spent on stage.
The show at the Electric Ballroom was sold out, every one in the room appeared to know the words to every song played and had a true appreciation for the lyrically witty and melodic music The Wildhearts create. It is impossible to say what tracks were fan favourites as they were all greeted with extreme enthusiasm, loud cheers filled the room as people recognised the track. There was not a still body in the house throughout The Wildhearts set as the audience contently danced and headbanged the night away.
The band's fabulous seven song encore started with Geordie In Wonderland; the epic encore was truly an ode to their staying power. They are an incredibly talented bunch who were entertaining from start to finish. The Wildhearts are nothing short of a boon to the music industry.
