Marmite of Metal
As the front-man of The Prophecy, Matt Lawson, walks onto the Darwin Suite’s stage, his vocals manage to juxtapose deeply melodic singing with Zeus-like chants that sound as if they’re going to tear down the whole of Derby, let alone the Darwin Suite.

Behind Matt is a great band that, collectively, seem to have been lifted out of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin when it comes to their appearance – whilst their sound is unique to them. The dark, floor-shaking, contemplative sound that they create is truly their own and few comparisons can be drawn.

You’ll either love or hate the sound they create but you won’t be able to simply sit on the fence and ignore it. Overlord-like vocals are not to everybody’s taste, but if you like your metal darker, slower and layered then you’ll want to catch The Prophecy’s powerful live show.
