The Applicators

This all-girl band have attracted a small crowd on the last day of the festival - many people have never heard of them and after setting up their own equipment they begin their set. As expected it is all-female-punk-rock. Despite the fact that the Texan quartet may not have yet breached the UK music scene they have been around for quite a few years now.

Their set includes numerous tunes some of which manage to actually pull off a good 1980s classic-rock sound to some of the riffs with the odd punchy bass line. The entire act, however, is let down by vocals that simply do not do justice to the rest of the music. The whole set is average, with one song that sounds totally disgracefully out of time for the first thirty seconds.

They receive a favourable response and some people would see them again. They are a band with potential but at the moment they are not suitable for an appearance on the second stage of the Carling Weekend.
