What Will 2005 Hold?
It’s the first day of V in Festival 2004. It’s the first band of the day – and Kasabian walk out on to the NME stage receiving a rapturous applause.

Last night’s rain has gone and it seems that the crowd’s spirits are high as Kasabian head through their set of hits – putting their latest single ‘LSF’ towards the end of the set. With a front-man that dances around in a slightly crazed way (arms flailing everywhere) – you realise that Kasabian are a band that actually enjoy playing.

As the short, twenty-five minute set comes to a close with ‘Club Foot’ the crowd cheer and suddenly vanish – leaving the stage empty for the next band.
Not everyone is designed to play at a festival but one thing’s for sure – Kasabian deserve to be here. They have yet to even release their debut album (due in September) – and they’ve gone from total unknowns to one of the freshest kings of indie.

Only one question remains. What will 2005 hold for the band?
