Toys R Us?

The Holday Plan have been described as 'the new Hundred Reasons', 'emo, but not as we know it' and 'a monster(ous) noise' - yet none of these quite seem to fit tonight's performance. They describe themselves as 'four friends' that 'make melodic rock music' and I think this sums up what you are going to get best.

Despite being tonight's headline act, the group of Londoners seem to be playing to a depleted venue with less than half the people that turned out to support the support band. Somethings wrong there are The Holiday Plan are infitely better than their support. Their set, despite being short, gives everyone a good idea of what the new EP is about.

It's a bit of a strange gig as despite the headline fact even when the band try to interact with the crowd it falls on deaf ears. True, the crowd might not want to hear jokes at the expense of "Toys r Us" or the Brummie accent, but the entire reaction is bizare. This is a good band, its a tight band and its a band that deserve to play to a more response crowd.

Catch them on their next set of gigs in March to see them and you won't be dissapointed - just don't expect them to fit in to a little box.
