My Awful Compilation
Awesome is not quite the word I would use to describe this set, awful might be better suited. There is not point during the 30 minute set where I am glad to be standing there - it is truly horrible from start to finish. The band don’t seem to be in time, the drumming some times runs away from the guitar and the vocals, there is simply no way polite to start describing them.
For an entire set not a single note that comes out of Chris' mouth seems to be in tune and he does apologise stating that his throat seems to be hurting tonight. This apology falls on deaf ears as the crowd gradually retreat to the sanctity of the rear of the venue, with some people even walking out half way through.
MAC have been together for almost 3 years and during that time the Leicester-based band have won awards and received acclaim - yet tonight none of it seems due. This may partly be due to their full-time bassist currently being unable to play and a last-minute replacement being brought in. This may be partly due to a genuine sore throat. This may, however, be one of the worst bands I have ever had to review.
