Thousands of Crazyfists

36 Crazyfists are a strangely accessible band despite how heavy they sound. Perhaps it's that blend of melody with brutality that makes them so likeable, perhaps because they're Alaskan and the UK is forever craving music from other countries. Either way, they gather a respectable crowd on the Main Stage on Sunday.

The band change pace frantically, switching from pure undiluted rage to melodic lulls in the storm. Their music swiftly fills the stage and the band look content to be playing on the Main Stage finally. The carnage the band creates by working their crowd into a fury is impressive to say the least. The last time they played Donington they packed out the Snickers Stage, and today, playing the Main Stage they finally look like they're in the right place. Their music tears at your soul, switching from musical to manic in a matter of seconds. In fact, it's much like a devil shouting at you and an angel tempting you.

36 Crazyfists are a band that you need to check out and if possible, see live next time they tour. Their power on record is impressive, but live it is tenfold.
