Massive Cheers
New York duo Shy Child were in Portsmouth last night to play a sold out show while on support from the Klaxons.
The Pyramids was full of kids of kids wearing fluorescent clothes and waving glow sticks who seemed excited about the night of entertainment ahead of them. When Shy Child stepped onto the stage the crowd erupted and as soon as they started playing everyone in the front half of the room was dancing and jumping around. Their mix of pounding drums under heavy throbbing synths went down a treat in Portsmouth.
Their current track 'The Noise Won't Stop' was the definite crowd favourite from their thirty minute set. Their vibrant sound was fuelled with passion as they played to the music hungry crowd. From the amount of people that were singing along and the huge cheers they received after every track it's safe to assume that quite a few people had turned up to see them. Singer and keyboard player Pete reaches an impressive falsetto in the equally impressive song 'Drop The Phone'.
Shy Child received a massive cheer as they left the stage after providing the perfect warm up for the Klaxons. Next time Shy Child are over I reckon they could be headlining, even if it is at smaller venues than the one they played last night.
