October File at Hammerfest II
Oxford scream metal band October File took to Hammerfest's second stage in front of a small crowd, being pretty unlucky having their set running parallel to metal giants Katatonia and Devildriver on stage 1.
An instrumental introduction was followed by a rather basic and uninspiring performance; there was no pushing of the musical boundaries here; it was soon evident that the crowd was getting bored and looking for entertainment elsewhere. However, those who did stay appeared to enjoy the performance, I personally didn't get the attraction.
A lack of stage presence was painfully obvious; one group of spectators I spoke to after the set commented that October File's performance was very forgettable. With the awesome array of talent at the festival, I had to agree.
October File failed to make their mark at Hammerfest II. Better luck next time guys!
