Kings Lynn Rocks
Despite being one of the softer bands to grace the opening day of Hevy Festival, Deaf Havana pulled in a packed tent at the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage. The crowd were not just here to watch, there was moshing galore and even a circle to show you don't need to go over the top on the aggressive stakes to pull in a crazy crowd.
Mixing the harmonic vocals with screaming vocals, lead singer, James Veck-Gilodi, put in a faultless display, in fact the entire four piece from Kings Lynn put in one of the best performances seen at Hevy. The crowd were just as impressive; plenty of surfing to go with the moshing and singing along, especially to 'Friends Like These', a pure example of Deaf Havana's perfectly blended harmonic meets aggressive style.

The only downside to the set was that it appeared to end 10 minutes early, they could have played all night and the crowd in the tent would have been the happiest of the weekend. You can catch Deaf Havana touring the UK over the next couple of months, definitely one to check out now before they get big.
