Opening Act

Opening the main stage of any festival is always an honour and Hevy Festival, with their open hearted approach to local bands from Kent, offered this privilege to one such band from the "Garden of England".

Maybe it was because the zoo, where Hevy was being hosted, has a large colony of black rhino's or maybe it was due to the openers, Feed The Rhino, having made big strides in their very short existence, gaining high praise from many big names. It is possible to see why, as they powered their way through a 30 minute set full of aggressive hardcore rock fronted by the topless, bearded and tattooed front man Lee Tobin, who screamed his way through the set.

Sadly for the band, being first on meant they had to encounter the issues with the poor sound the main stage struggled with on the opening day. They also had to contend with a crowd which was thin on the ground and not yet ready to party.

Feed The Rhino clearly have more to offer and have an exciting last part of their year playing with the likes of today's headliners, Gallows. Expect to hear more from this band in the very near future.
