Not that they seem at all nervous either, underneath a pair of black sunglasses lead singer Alex Trimble may be quivering but his performance smacked of an unabashed confidence. A shimmering Do You Want It All? proved that his vocals need only be softly delivered while Something Good Can Work was bellowed back by a now sizeable crowd.
Perhaps the experience of Glastonbury's Pyramid stage has finally allowed them to realise their potential yet even when asking punters to climb atop shoulders, the request was still deliciously polite. Their set already seemed ideal for this slot, especially when such tracks as the effortless Eat That Up, It's Good For You are performed so smoothly. The repetitive choruses undoubtedly aided a crowd happy to soak in the rays and for closing track, What You Know, he bowed down and allowed them to bellow the lines back. After a couple of summers climbing the bills of summer festivals, Two Door Cinema Club finally seem to be believing their own hype.
