Lucy gets her first taste of a mini rave...

To be perfectly honest, the whole experience of this evening was a completely different world from what I'm used to. When I was a youngster and all my friends went out raving, I was always a good little girl staying in with my hardcore punk and thrash metal. So when music can be all about perspective, just how did someone so used to the power of the mosh enjoy an evening with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs?

In a word, it was fanbloodytastic. The show that would unfold on the hallowed party stage was full of charisma, colour, cracking tunes and... glitter puffs! Who could be unimpressed when there's glitter puffs? I'm certainly yet to see a mosh pit sprayed with sparkles and pixie dust anyway.

There is a beautiful balance between the modest and the fantastical with this band of one. A simple looking stage framed by pentagonal white neon lights welcomed your very average-looking guy... who just happened to be rocking his characteristically amazing feathered ensemble. Similarly, his music has the ability to lull you into a false sense of security with continual steady rhythms. Then all of a sudden a beat will drop that will send shudders down your entire body until it joins the floor that's pulsating under the weight of a sold out crowd's moving feet. Garden and Trouble were made for dancing and this Heavenly crowd didn't disappoint. That's right, even I let my tush have a little bit of a wiggle. It was neither cool nor attractive, but I quite frankly had no choice as soon as that blast of synths in Household Goods hailed down on me.

Of course, it would be all too easy for such a creatively switched on individual to take himself too seriously- but there is no such accusation to be made. The small touches of sexy dino dancers in UV wigs an reptilian cameos added to a sense of performance as well as party. But there was one more surprise kept up TEED's feathered sleeve. He obviously took a moment out to thoughtfully scratch his head in consideration as to what every party needed. 'OF COURSE!' He would have cried as all the surrounding lightbulbs exploded. 'Balloons!'

Yes, as new single Tapes & Money was unveiled to us, a beautiful soft shower of ruby red balloons rained down from the sky. So what if it was a room full of adults? Every face was full of sweat and joy as those little latex bubbles of wonder provided a wonderful cherry to the already spectacular cake. It was a show to remember for this dance music rookie and I will perhaps be inspired to give it another go some time. Only if there are dancing dinosaurs and balloons though.
