The Famous Class tackle Islington
The three lads that make up The Famous Class can usually be seen outside various London venues on gig nights, chatting to the music admirers in the line about their own band and promoting their music so it was great to see them actually perform these tracks rather than just talking about them.
Being their home town they were the headliners on this evenings show and gave an outstanding performance. They jumped straight in with their pop punk anthems getting the crowd singing along and jumping. After the departure of a band member they have been relying on various other musicians to stand in on this tour including Shane from Burn So Bright for this evenings set, until they can find a permanent replacement.
This set worked up to an almighty concluding performance of Emily with Shane and ex-band member Ben standing in for Justin and Stoo while they jumped into the crowd and moved about singing (with a reference to The Blackout and their two vocalists style) and then opening up the stage to the evenings support acts, various other musicians in for the performance and the fans; as you can image the security got a little concerned but overcame this and let the fans have their fun.
It's great to see the guys perform for once and not just walk up and down the line outside London venues. Hopefully after the appreciation they received for this evening's performance this will be happening a great deal more.
