They ARE incredible
“Sooner Not Later” opens up with an amazing step back in time to psychedelia. The music moves through you, creating an almost hypnotic feeling with an occasional jump in vocals that are reminiscent of an alarm clock in snooze mode. You'll go so far into your own world that you'll need something to remind you to breathe. The 3 minutes 32 seconds that make up this song are over far too soon and that’s the only real criticism here.
“We Were Incredible” follows through with just a touch more edge to it. There is a warm darkness to this song that will have you catching your breath.
And once again the tempo is raised on “So Loud”- there’s great use of masterful guitar work to keep this one on track. Where it could have drifted in to an average “tum de tem de tum” number, it is held back and redirected. They really have impressive control over their music. An excellent sound combined with understated vocal power makes this number.
If you are musically into the Pink Floyds or King Crimsons of this world then Loganstone are for you. As for the vocals; I whisper the word “Bowie” into your ear. There is that almost detached air about them that it makes you wonder where the feeling of undeniable passionate power comes from. Loganstone produce a sound that you don’t just hear; you inhale it.
