Pop/punk with an undertow of perceptive pleasure
With its combination of fuzzed up guitars overlaid with clear cut vocals, mixed with a great hook of a chorus and one line that is a real starburst: "It's not about the money/It's the disappointment of being a man", 'Automatic Healer' delivers a punchy sound that will hold your attention long enough to realise just what this number is all about.
This'll lead you into the second track 'Prove It', which has more knuckle, and although simply delivered, Rob Solly's vocals have more snarl in them and get their message across while Nash Francis pounds his bass line here.
The final number 'Up All Night' has pace and good delivery, but you can't help thinking this all sounds far too familiar. It's good, but it doesn't have that 'buy me' quality that the other two have.
