Fast n' furious!

Title track 'Tight Pants' doesn't just kick off this album, it's more like being charged at by a bunch of wild bulls on heat, and 'Move Up' has skin spanking drums and guitars that take a deep sniff of the blues, only to spit out furious Rock'n Roll. Hooks and solos work their way through this number alongside some gravel chewed vocals.

'Lazerlight' definitely owes a lot to the Stones and you can feel that Jagger strut right through this track. The backing vocals introduce an almost Soul sound which merges beautifully with the blues base. If you play this music at the volume it deserves you will be the owners of the next title 'Deaf Ears'. Still keeping the pace set by the first track there seems to be no stopping this band. 'Diana K' with its AC/DC revved up guitar work and Bon Scott/ Brian Johnson growling scream gives you an open impression of where Boozed's influences lay,.

With nothing to put the brakes on 'Wild Boys' this is another adrenalin surge; the only question here lies with the chorus shout which would not go amiss on many football terraces. You'll either love it or hate it.

'Sad Girls' doesn't suffer from this and even where the pace slows it's nothing more than a deep breath before you shake your brains out again.
'Black Heart' is SEX- enough said and 'Everything That I Say' is good 'ole Rock'n Roll, shot through with some hard blues guitar playing; interestingly ending in a guitar bend and not a drum beat.

The final helping is 'Travel Song', which is a pretty apt title as this does in places seem to get lost- Music that drives at speed but makes too many stops on the way to check direction.

Boozed are a band that have enough confidence in themselves to allow any influences to show through whilst still making their own statements. Their use of Hammond organ on several tracks gives them a depth that compliments the sound. They've produced an album of high speed, in your face music
