A 'listen to it or regret it' album

'BH'; hard, fast and huge can all describe the wall of sound that falls on top of you here. There is an individuality in this music though. It has shots of pshycadelia that burst like grenades amongst the heavier artillery of guitar and drums.

'The Prophecy' If such a thing exists then this number should come under the heading of 'Tribal-Metal'. There is an underlying beat that speaks of far away shores and this marks this as something very different. Add to this a lead guitar that's as tight as a bikers strangle hold and you have something very unique.

'Cult' launches itself with typical metal inspired aggression that suddenly disappears into some semi- acoustic void only to re-emerge like a demon surfacing from the pit. This is one that is somewhat meandering in its style but has a darkness about its soul that hypnotises you and pulls you in. 'By The Numbers' with its dark roots is similar in the way it catches you. What may seem to be so individual about this band is the very essence that will make their music appeal to so many. With ' Open Your Minds' you are dragged through a musical stomp across an octopus ink black landscape. 'Psychos' is terrifying in its power and has a dark and disturbing melodic theme. This number is ripped through with great vocals and thrashes that build layer upon exciting layer. 'Anger' hits that 'Tribal-Metal theme again with undertones of Black Sabbath. There is a hint of 'Iron Man' here. A thudding pulse holds you in the grip of this number.

'The Time Has Come'- again there is that hypnotic, exotic eastern layer to this track and combining this with crashing metal guitars Mahavatar produce a powerhouse of sound. The fact that they can do this without letting any one theme overcome the other is a tribute to both their writing and playing.
