Since their inception in the spring of 2002, UK quartet Hollywood Ending have been busy refining their own take on the post-millennial rock scene.

Equal parts muscular rock melody, post-hardcore intensity and simple heartfelt groove, they provide a stunning example of how rock bands can continue to innovate and evolve without losing passion or drive.

Utilising three singers (everyone bar Tom takes a turn at the mic), the Hollywood Ending sound is complex and multilayered. Taking cues from acts like the Deftones, Helmet, Far and even Biffy Clyro, the band started their recording career with the critically and commercially acclaimed ‘Beginning Of The Middle’ EP (released March 2004).

Their full length debut hits the shelves on Sept 20 on Mighty Atom Records (Funeral For A Friend, 3 Colours Red, Hondo Maclean etc). Entitled ‘Praying To Fiction’ it looks set to cement the band’s position as exciting frontrunners in the current rock renaissance.

Produced by Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Million Dead, Johnny Truant) its eleven tracks showcase the different talents of the group… from the swirling, soundscape intensity of ‘New Day Rising’, to the taut, crackfire groove of ‘25/17’ via the harmony-laden expanse of the album closer ‘Beginning Of The Middle’, this is an album of amazing extremes and emotions.

Numerous live appearances have helped hone and sharpen the band’s assault (they have toured with the likes of 3 Colours Red, This Girl, Jetplane Landing, Anti Hero and Tribute to Nothing), and the band plan to stay on the road for the foreseeable future!
