Only for like-minded souls

With this album they achieve this in great measure, opening up with 'Final Coup of the Last Millennium', a mixture of sound that will leave you reeling from its punching vocals delivered by Jen Throwup. This doesn’t cease as you move on to Body Building”, with its thumping bass beat that really directs both the song and the vocals.

'Dirt', however, makes you begin to think that you are in some Eastern bazaar with its opening haunting sound combined with the strong vocals. This number then moves off at a faster beat but still manages to retain its exotic feel, even though the vocals turn into a shouting match with themselves. There is a message with this song.

'Woodenhead' is too lightweight for its theme and, apart from the good bass work that holds it together, does not have a great deal to recommend itself. And ,Sealed June 16, 1994, relates to a time capsule found in Vancouver and is ‘improvised music’. This sounds more like a tune up session and must only be indended for lovers of this style.

Although musically impressive, 'Hawks And Doves And Time' does not gel together as it is made up of several different parts. 'Democracy’'s lyrics are a powerful political/moral message which could be put across in a way that more people could connect with; it has an over long intro that leads to a vocalisation that could be from some depressing musical. 'Book Of Memory' also suffers from a similar handling.

This form of music is really only for those that are ‘into’ it, but to do so requires considerable ability to understand the mindset of its creators.
