Pure slithering blues rock
The 22-20’s present a beautiful bluesy number with ‘Such A Fool’. Full of guitars that slip n' slide, the vocals drawled and dirty and the music is so tight that the instrumental version is a natural progression. With a number like this you can almost smell the smoke and feel the darkness of some small late night club. The guitars rain down on you in a constant curtain of sound, with drums that hold the rhythm that becomes your heart beat. This has that seductive sleaze feel to it and as such justifies the double version on this single. Otherwise you’d need to put the track on repeat.
‘Such A Fool’ may have been taken from the 22-20’s album but when it is served up in such a delicious way there should be very few complaints. So even if you’ve got the album, get this.
