All Forgotten will never be forgotten
Like many bands nowadays, All Forgotten was one of many I came across on Myspace. Like the majority on there, they never really pushed my buttons. All this changed when I saw them at the Islington Bar Academy; they blew me away with their set.
The three bands supporting All Forgotten on this tour were quite hardcore, some more than others. All Forgotten however took it down a pace, with a little less aggro and a little more heart. This five-piece rock act is completely devoted to their music and rounded up a night of wonderful acts, completing a perfect evening. They excited the crowd to such a degree one lad was left with a bloody nose.
Their writing capability takes into consideration everyday events the crowd were obviously relating too, while also looking at other musicians for inspiration. This has aided them in creating tunes such as ‘At A Guess, I’m Second Best’ and ‘Fatigue’ to name but two of the amazing tracks performed, they have a remarkable talent. When combined with the bands energetic magnitude of powerful movements it is astonishing they have yet to release any music to the public. Lead Singer Jonathan Thorne may look a little shy, placid and withdrawn, but he has one hell of a set of lungs on him as he belts out the songs.
All Forgotten have been recording material for their debut Ep ‘Transitions’, which they are hoping to release in the summer. If they are capable of putting half as much magnetism and energy on CD as they do into a live set, they are going to wow listeners, just as they wowed me with this performance.
