Have half the crowd Escaped?
Bradford is cold. Even before Black Winter Day has kicked off, it’s already rained, hailed, and even snowed for ten minutes. Never before has a festival name been so apt.
When Escape take the stage, the few people in attendance are still sitting around in their coats. If there’s one thing they’re admirable for, it’s their willingness to put on a lively, energetic and whole-hearted set in front of about fourteen people. Fortunately for them, punters begin to filter in throughout, resulting in a fairer amount of spectators by the end.
Alas, the crowd isn’t treated to much more than a generic half hour of growly metal. Still, their stage presence and decent playing skills won the small audience over.
