Diamond nights aren't a girl's best friend!
These guys turn up on stage all indie guitars and hair cuts. Lousy vocals as well, although I'm undecided as to whether or not that's due to the sound or the singer's own capabilities- I suspect the latter.
I'm offered mediocre riffs from a band that looks like everything out of the UK.. but they don't sound half as good. Like a cross between Kings of Leon and Razorlight wannabe bands, Diamond Nights are not pulling off this combination successfully. Still, at least the lead singer is amusing- beginning each song with his back to the audience and at obscure intervals belting out "Ow" and "Oh oh" as if he was Axl Rose. Sorry mate, there's just no comparison.
Weak, dated and unoriginal, this is one band that might not deserve their place on the Download lineup.
