The Glitterati had a less than shimmering start on making the move from The North to The South in late 2003. They moved into a share house in the wilds of South London where they were too broke to pay for rehearsal rooms. They found themselves practicing in a derelict church whilst living off their wits. It wasn’t long before music industry types started sniffing around and a publishing deal was struck.

Widespread press approval followed on the back of various single releases, some big name support slots and blazing festival appearances.

On the eve of the release of their self-titled debut album, Leeds-born now London-based The Glitterati are a brash, swaggering, arrogantly sleazy rock act here to stir up the music world. read less
